India is quickly preparing for 5G. The telecom companies have set up the 5G network in more than 50 Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi, and others, since its introduction in October 2022. The only two telecom companies now providing 5G services are Airtel and Jio, and they intend to roll out 5G connections over all of India within the next two years. Airtel recently introduced 5G in more cities as part of its commitment to the deployment strategy, this time expanding its coverage to include more cities in Haryana.
Dubbed Airtel 5G Plus, the fifth-generation network connectivity is now available in Hisar and Rohtak. Notably, Airtel previously launched its 5G services in Gurugram and Panipat. The telecom provider has promised its customers that they won’t need to purchase a new 5G SIM in order to access the 5G connection. The 4G SIMs in use today will upgrade to 5G automatically. Additionally, Airtel asserts that consumers will be able to access the ultrafast 5G Plus services via the non-standalone 5G network.
As part of the announcement of the launch, Airtel stated that its 5G services are currently accessible at Vijay Nagar, Rasoma Chowk, Bombay Hospital Square, Radisson Square, Khajrana area, Sadar Bazaar, Gita Bhawan, Panchsheel Nagar, Abhinandan Nagar, Patrakar colony, Yeshwant road, Phoenix Citadel mall, and a few other exclusive locations.

Connecting to Airtel 5G
Notably, Airtel is rolling out 5G gradually. Because the telecom is still building its network and completing the rollout in the region, even if the network is live in the city, it will take some time for it to reach every colony and location.
Users can download the Airtel app, sign in, and check for availability to see if 5G is offered in their location. Just make sure you are using a 5G smartphone to access 5G. Additionally, Airtel is providing 5G services for free while it deploys 5G throughout India. Therefore, consumers are not charged extra to access high-speed internet.
The telecom provider also advised updating to the most recent system software because a lot of OEMs, or smartphone manufacturers, just put out 5G support for Jio and Airtel 5G. Go to Settings > About Phone > Check for the system update and download it to make your phone 5G ready.
