FAU-G aka Fearless And United Guards by nCore Games, released on 26th Jan this year has successfully made it to the top game chart on play store. But soon after its release, it got too many negative reviews by gamers. Is FAU-G a failure? Here is an unbiased review of FAU-G.
From the day of its announcement by Akshay Kumar, it has created a lot of hype among gamers and even non-gamers. It was declared in such a time that many people considered it as a replacement of PUBG. But after its release, it is confirmed that this is not a battle royale game. FAU-G provides story-driven gameplay on its campaign mode known as ‘Tales From The Galwan Valley’ and other two modes ‘Team Deathmatch’ and ‘Free For All’ not yet opened.
For a 460MB game, FAU-G has impressive graphics. It runs smoothly in its highest possible graphic settings. But the gameplay let the graphic down. Even it has a great graphic but failed to provide good gameplay.
You have to fight the enemies on every checkpoint on your path. But soon it seems repetitive and boring as you have to face similar kind of opponents at each checkpoint. It has a beautiful health regeneration mechanism, the fireplace. You need to get to the fireplace to regenerate health.
It doesn’t have guns but they will be added later as per the developers. It comes with Indian names for the weapons like ‘Lalkaar’, ‘Tandav’ etc. Picking those weapons is quite easy just walk on them as it doesn’t have any picking up animation. You can have only two weapons at a time. Weapons break down after some fights. But you can’t throw away weapons until it’s broken.
The Enemies in the game are quite defensive. They attack very rarely. Just before they attack you a red line around them alerts the player. Its Hindi voice dub gives an Indian feeling but it seems quite repetitive. But when the protagonist dies in the game it gives goosebumps as he utters ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’.
FAU-G is an underdevelopment game. It’s too early to release. It needs a lot of time to get improved. A lot of things need to be changed in it. Its gameplay, in-game animations, weapon picking and storing mechanism need to be improved. Hope in future it will cover up all its cons and provide us with a great gameplay experience.
