A PlayStation fan recently traded in his massive game collection, weighing over 100 pounds. The collection includes PS1, PS2, and PS3 titles. Among them are some old gaming classics, cult hits, AAA blockbusters, and everything in between.
Sony broke into the console gaming market when it released the original PlayStation in Japan on December 3, 1994, releasing it internationally the following year. While many PS1 games retailed in the $40 to $52 range, sealed copies sometimes sell for hundreds of dollars. Even less pristine copies of some games can still net their owner a respectable return on investment at the right auction.
Despite the fact that pricing can fluctuate, one recent trade-in should be praised for the sheer number of games. DennisCollects, a TikToker and YouTuber who sells video games on eBay, also posts some noteworthy trades to his social media platforms. One of Dennis’s fans just traded their entire PlayStation game collection—more than 200 games—for him, making it his greatest trade-in to date. The enormous collection, which included PlayStation consoles from three generations, weighted more than 100 pounds all together. The games arrived in their original boxes or jewel cases, with all of the manuals included, and in quite good shape. Another fan of DennisCollects sold off their collection of PlayStation systems.
In the course of going through the boxes, DennisCollects mentioned a few noteworthy games. These games include Mega Man X, venerable PS2 titles like God Hand, and vintage JRPGs like Legend of Mana and Breath of Fire 3. Parasite Eve, Spyro: Dawn of the Dragons, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Angry Birds: Star Wars, Assassin’s Creed, Battlefield 3, MediEvil 2, Fallout 3, White Knight Chronicles, Killzone 2, Dante’s Inferno, and a mountain of other games are also displayed on the screen. It’s difficult to estimate the value of these games, but even so, the collection is incredibly enormous.
What DennisCollects received in return for this amazing collection of PlayStation games is unknown. Another fan exchanged his collection of old Nintendo cartridges for a new Switch and a copy of Luigi’s Mansion 3 in a previous video. The TikToker and game vendor, however, did not disclose what he exchanged for the sizable PlayStation collection. DennisCollects responded with a probably sarcastic three dollars to a TikTok commenter’s question.
In any case, just taking a look at this enormous gaming collection is mind-blowing, and DennisCollects suggested he consider uploading a second video showcasing more titles. The TikToker and YouTuber haven’t done it yet, though.
