Back To The Future I, II & III (1985, 1989, 1990)

Fox), Doc (Christopher Lloyd) and the time machine DeLorean will always stay in the heart of time travel fans. In 1985, Director Robert Zemeckis tried something new and, it came out to be a brilliant movie and became a classic. The film talks about alternate timelines and paradoxes but makes you understand it in a very simplistic way. After Back To The Future – I, they again came up with two more movies. Groundhog Day (1993)

12 Monkeys is one of the most memorable time travel movies. The film 12 Monkeys, directed by Terry Gilliam, is about tracking down the source of a fatal artificial virus by travelling back in time. Primer (2004)
Most time travel movies try to keep time travel as simple as they can. But Primer is an exception. Shane Carruth, the actor, writer and director of Primer deals with science properly. He represented his theory and mechanism in a very scientific manner that is both convincing and mind spinning. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004)

Edge of Tomorrow is one of Tom Cruise’s most underrated films. The plot is similar to Groundhog Day’s “Stuck in a Loop”. But Edge of Tomorrow tries to explain its time travel perfectly. It is a unique and blockbuster film that has the perfect blend of Tom Cruise action and Emily Blunt’s strength. It keeps every scene fresh and unique even you are watching the same day again and again. Watching Tom Cruise playing coward feels new and refreshing.
Predestination (2014)
Predestination, starring Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook, is based on the Bootstrap Paradox. The famous question, “What came first: the chicken or the egg?” drives the movie. TENET (2020)
Directed by Christopher Nolan, TENET is the most complicated and mind-boggling time travel movie ever made. Nolan is well known for his works like Inception, Interstellar etc. John David Washington did a great job in the movie as a trained CIA agent. TENET can also remind you of your physics and mathematics classes. I mean, it’s worth watching. Once you watch it, I bet you will have to rewatch it to understand what just happened there!
The Tomorrow War (2021)
The Tomorrow War is the most recent Sci-Fi time travel movie. The cast like Chris Pratt, Yvonne Strahovski, J.K. Simmons, Betty Gilpin, Sam Richardson, Edwin Hodge, Jasmine Mathews, Ryan Kiera Armstrong and Keith Powers make us mesmerised by their performance. The movie deals with both aliens and time travel. Without getting into the complexity around these topics, it tries to explain them in a very short and simple way. The impressive CGI and VFX of the movie makes it worth watching.
