Leaks of the Google Pixel 7a are ongoing. Another one has just surfaced online, and this time it looks to be taken directly from Google’s marketing materials. As a result, it gives us another good look at the Pixel 7a’s design, including all of the available colour options and key hardware specifications, including the screen, processor, cameras, and more. Before the launch, which is scheduled for May 10 internationally and May 11 in India, there is essentially nothing left to the imagination.
Starting with the appearance, it resembles the Pixel 7 in many ways. Most of this was anticipated. According to the most recent leak from renowned tipper Roland Quandt (@rquandt), the Pixel 7a will be available in three colours: blue, black, and white. The coral variety that has been circulating online is not mentioned, but it might be a unique colour option for certain markets. Still, we’ll see.

Moving on, it appears from the promotional materials that the Pixel 7a will sport a 6.1-inch 1080p display, the same as the Pixel 6a, but with a faster 90Hz refresh rate (the 6a could only support 60Hz). It will have the same Tensor G2 processor as the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro under the hood. The Pixel 7a is expected to have a 64MP primary camera and a 13MP ultrawide camera, compared to the Pixel 6a’s 12MP+12MP cameras. This represents the biggest improvement to the cameras yet. This iteration also sees an improvement in Super Res Zoom, with the Pixel 7a reportedly supporting up to 8x (vs. 7x on the Pixel 6a). The Pixel 7s is rumoured to have a 13MP front-facing camera. Fast wired and wireless charging will put the finishing touches on the package.
The majority of this, including the entire design, has previously been thoroughly leaked, but this latest leak appears to be much more accurate than anything else we’ve seen in the run-up to the debut. Google’s first foldable, the highly anticipated Pixel Fold, has also been publicly leaked and is projected to be on sale on May 10 at Google I/O 2023, the same day as the Pixel 7a. During the same event, Google is also anticipated to announce the cost and availability of its first tablet, the Pixel tablet.
