Mimi is a Latest Hindi Comedy Drama movie Released in 2021 directed by Laxman Utekar and co-written by Rohan Shankar and produced by- Dinesh Vijan. Kriti Sanon titular character who opts to be a surrogate mother for a foreign couple. Pankaj Tripathi, Saie Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa, Supriya Pathak, Evelyn Edwards and Aidan Whytock are the film stars.The COVID-19 pandemic in India the film was theatrically released on 26 July 2021. The film was shot in different location like Mandawa, Churu and Jaipur, and a few days in Mumbai. The soundtrack-A. R. Plot
An American couple John (Aiden Whytock) and Summer (Evelyn Edwards) Both are visiting Rajasthan in search of a surrogate mother because they cannot conceive. They had seen a local dancer Kriti Sanon, and thought that Mimi would be the perfect surrogate mother for their child.They convince the local taxi driver Bhanu (Pankaj Tripathi) to recruit Mimi to be their surrogate.
After some days the Mimi becomes pregnant. Mimi(Kriti Sanon) lies to her parents about pregnancy, and tells that she is going to Mumbai for 9 months for shooting a film. She then leaves home and goes to live with her friend. A few weeks later, Mimi’s unborn child has Down Syndrome. When John and Summer knew that they leave for America, telling Bhanu that they don’t want the baby anymore and suggesting Mimi to abort it.Mimi rejects the idea of abortion and decides to carry the child to term.
When Mimi returns home, looks pregnant, and lies that the child belongs to Bhanu.Bhanu has a wife in Delhi When she and Bhanu’s mother show up in Rajasthan at Mimi’s home, chaos and confusion. Mimi birth to a healthy boy and named (Raj) Motherhood changes her and she becomes attached to Raj. However, four years later, John and Summer when return to India and want to take Raj back to America. Mimi saying that Raj is her child now and she won’t give him, but John threatens legal action, as Mimi had signed a contract for surrogacy and has no legal right over Raj. Bhanu and Mimi’s parents decided to fight against them, but Mimi rejects this notion and decides to give Raj to them.
When John and Summer’s flight back to America, Mimi, Bhanu, and family meet up with John and Summer to leave Raj with them, when they are seen John with a child they are surprised, whom Summer claims as their daughter. It is then revealed that while coming back from Mimi’s house, the John and Summer came across an orphanage and fell in love with, a young girl Tara, and have decided to adopt her. They leave Raj with Mimi, recognizing that he is her son.
