Manda Pitha Recipe ( Odia Traditional Recipe) : Chaula Manda Pitha Recipe is sweet and salty recipe is very popular In Odisha. It is an authentic and traditional way to prepare Pitha during festivals and in special occasions in Orissa. On this special day , let discuss how to easily make this authentic process of steamed rice batter cake or Sijha manda pitha. But , here we can using soaked rice batter , sugar , cardamom powder and coconut stuffing.

Ingredients:

1. Raw rice (arua chaula) – 1 cup (soak it for at least 2 hours to get the better result)

2. Sugar – 2 tbsp

3. Pinch of salt

4. Water – one and half cup (Make sure to measure with the same cup or container)

5. Green cardamom powder – 5 pieces

For Stuffing:

6. Grated coconut – 1 cup

7. Jaggery / guda / gud – 2 tablespoon or add as per taste.

8. Chopped cherry – 5 pieces (you can also add dry nuts along it)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Heat a pan add jaggery, after melting jaggery add coconut stir fry. Add ginger, cardamom powder and pepper powder mix well. When the mixture becomes dry side it.

2. Heat a pan add 2 1/2 bowl water, add salt add rice flour mix it well and make a soft dough.

3. Arrange the dumpling. Divide the dough into total10 to13pices. Take one pice flat it and stuff the coconut mixture. Cover it and make round shape.

4. Steam the ball on a steamer. Now dumpling is ready.
