San Francisco: According to reports, Apple will make a few minor adjustments to iOS 16.5 before it is made available to the public.
The impending iOS 16.5 Release Candidate for developers will have a build number of 20F65, according to a protected Twitter account that has leaked build numbers for numerous iOS releases up to a week before they were released, according to MacRumors.
iOS 16.5 has been in beta testing since late March, and it seems to be a rather small software upgrade. At the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June, iOS 17 is anticipated to be unveiled before this release.
According to the source, the iPhone has only had two important updates and improvements introduced so far.
The Apple News app now has a Sports option, which enables users to browse news, standings, and schedules for their preferred teams and leagues.
According to the source, the second update gives users the ability to start a screen recording using Siri by saying “Hey Siri, start a screen recording” and then asking Siri to stop recording when they’re ready.
In the meantime, Apple has made its first set of “rapid security” patches available to the general public. These patches are made especially to fix security flaws that are now being actively exploited or constitute a serious threat to the security and privacy of users.
The ‘Rapid Security Responses’ bring significant security upgrades in between software updates, claims Apple.
