With a motion poster for “Chhatriwali,” Bollywood actor Rakul Preet Singh on Wednesday revealed the film’s release date. Rakul surprised her followers with a brand-new poster on Instagram.
“No more bunking, it’s time for learning with #Chhatriwali on #ZEE5, premieres 20th Jan,” she said alongside the movie poster when sharing it.
Rakul may be seen in the motion poster standing next to the blackboard with books in her hands in a classroom setting.
The movie “Chhatriwali,” which is produced by Ronnie Screwvala and directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, attempts to make a significant social point on the value of male contraceptives and safe sex.
In “Chhatriwali,” a Haryana-based slice-of-life movie, Rakul stars as the quality control manager of a condom manufacturer.
Though first nervous and ashamed of her profession, she quickly learns the value of safe sex and decides to destigmatize the discussion surrounding sex education. While keeping the story engaging and family-friendly, the movie establishes the mood and delivers the message with sensitivity and humour.
Rakul described her character as follows: “Every one of my films has been significant to me, but Chhatriwali is particularly special for a variety of reasons. I am finally getting to star in a movie after working in this industry for so long, and what movie could be more fun with such a socially conscious theme. On this World Aids Day, I support the fight against HIV by promoting my upcoming movie Chhatriwali, which will emphasise the value of male contraception and safe sex.”
RSVP Movies, the production company, remarked, “We are pleased to support stories with strong female protagonists and Chhatriwali has just that. In order to mainstream conversations about sex education and safe sex without coming off as preachy, we created a mass family entertainer with a significant message. We can tell compelling stories that engage viewers and impart knowledge thanks to the power of film.” Sumeet Vyas also appears in the movie.
