OnePlus unveiled its first tablet, the OnePlus Pad, in February. In a recent development, the company has rolled out over-the-air (OTA) updates for its tablets. The update introduces new features: mobile data sharing, auto-correction, and forward playback. The company says these features are intended to improve the user experience by allowing access to the internet, answering calls and texting SMS directly from the OnePlus Pad. The update seems to be happening in phases. As of this writing, we have not yet received the OxygenOS 13.3 update on our OnePlus Pad. “With the latest OOS 13.1 OTA update, OnePlus smartphone users can now enjoy enhanced contact sharing and seamless multi-screen functionality with their OnePlus Pad,” OnePlus said.
Mobile data sharing
Mobile Data Sharing allows OnePlus Pad users to log in to the same account as their OnePlus smartphone and share mobile communications within 10 meters. With this feature, users can surf the internet, answer calls, and send/receive text messages on the OnePlus Pad, using the mobile data network of the OnePlus smartphone. According to OnePlus, users will no longer have to set up a mobile hotspot as it will provide a more interactive and convenient experience. Auto connect feature
The auto-connect feature provides an instant connection between the OnePlus Pad and the corresponding paired OnePlus smartphone when they are nearby. Using the same account, OnePlus users can take advantage of multi-screen features like receiving notifications and clipboard sharing to transfer information between devices.
Play relay
The play-forward function ensures that the user continues his work without interruption. Users can now seamlessly switch between their tablet and smartphone to complete tasks,
OnePlus added.
