Only two other hitters have accomplished THIS enormous achievement, but world No. 1 Suryakumar Yadav is about to.

According to the official ICC rankings, Suryakumar Yadav is presently the best T20 batter in the world. He scored his third international century in T20I cricket on Saturday, January 7, off just 45 balls, helping India clinch the series over Sri Lanka in Rajkot. Thanks to SKY’s spectaculars, Team India won the third T20I with 97 runs to win the series 2-1.

Suryakumar Yadav is on pace to become just the third batsman in the history of the ICC Twenty20 International Batting Rankings to surpass 900 points following his amazing performance of 112 off 51 balls against Sri Lanka. When the new points table is released this week, SKY, which presently has 883 points, will undoubtedly climb ahead.

In the history of T20I rankings, only two players—English batsman Dawid Malan and former Australia captain Aaron Finch—have accumulated more than 900 ranking points.

With his unbeaten third T20I century, star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav rewrote the history books during the third and final T20I of the series against Sri Lanka and became the fastest player to reach 1,500 runs in the shortest format in terms of balls taken. Suryakumar Yadav took only 843 balls to reach this landmark in T20I cricket, the fastest among all players.

Virat Kohli from India, KL Rahul from Pakistan, experienced Australian Aaron Finch, and Babar Azam from Pakistan all took 39 innings to reach the milestone as the fastest batters. Mohammed Rizwan, a Pakistani wicketkeeper-batsman, and Suryakumar both accomplished this feat in 43 innings.

Suryakumar Yadav is the first player in history to achieve the milestone with a strike rate of 150 or higher. He has scored 1,578 runs at an average of 46.41 in 45 games and 43 innings. With a best individual score of 117 and a strike rate of 180.34, he has three century and thirteen half-centuries in the format.
